Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This is easily the best full English breakfast in Suffolk. The sausages are some of the best I have ever had. Great service and lovely outside eating area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good place to bring the family or to meet friends for a catch up with great food and facilities. At peak times there can be a short weight for your food but by god it is well worth the weight. The costs of items is very reasonable considering the quality of the food. The breakfast pictured is the large stag breakfast with optional black pudding added cost £13.45 and was well worth the cost as the quality is just unbelievable. If you are looking for a breakfast in Suffolk then look no further than The Hungry Stag Cafe."
"5 stars based on being right for the expectations! Simple fry up food available in massive portions at a reasonable price. Service and facilities all good, large outside seating area available too. No need to book. Only critism would be that the coffee wasn't the nicest. Would visit again for a fry up."
"Great food stop for bikers and those in cars with plenty parking for both. Bit loose / gravel for bikes, there is a hard strip near the coned area to get the side stand down. Plenty outside seating and food was good. Didn’t have to wait for the food to come out which is a bonus. Can’t get back into the A14 until you follow the road away for a few miles and can rejoin. Would return if in the area."
"We arrived right at the end of the breakfast run...wow this place is super popular. This did mean we waited about 20 mins for bacon/ sausage baps and by then our tea was not very hot...but tbh I can only celebrate how well this business is doing...so am not going to complain about it. It's no frills...but lovely and clean...and the queue out the door when we were leaving (lunch rush?) honestly just speaks volumes. Will defo be back...wanna try one of those mega breakfasts. Also as a p.s. it was great to see the different clientele...everyone from bikers to families, couples, mothers and grown up sons - plus lovely outdoor space"
"Stopped on way home from collecting meat from a butcher Had stag breakfast basically 3 of everything Very well cooked breakfast and great value at £15 with a tea and a couple of changes to meal Staff very friendly Will be back when i come up for more meat from the butchers"
"Brilliant food and service in nice surroundings, we had the large breakfast which was a great selection of quality ingredients. Will definitely be back again"
"Heard about this place on the radio so decided to check it out on my birthday as a treat. Turned up as soon as they opened. The place is immaculately clean and the owners/staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast and cooked perfectly. The sausages come from the butchers next door and the quality is second to none. This place is a little out the way but definitely worth visiting. Pricing was the same as other places but the quality is better. Literally cant fault it. Everyone needs to try this place for a fantastic breakfast."
"Nice choice of food on the menu. The food came out in good time. Plenty of seating inside and out. The car park is a good size. There may be a que for the toilets as there's only 2, 1 for female and 1 for male. Definitely worth a visit."
